Production Chains
Treat each chain as a question: what produces the input, what consumes the output, and how far do fetchers need to carry it? A correct chain can still fail if it is too spread out vertically.
Core construction chain
Section titled “Core construction chain”- Hardwood comes from Woodcutter.
- Planks come from Sawmill using hardwood.
- Stone comes from Quarry.
- Stone Blocks come from Stonecutter.
- Tabby is tied to Tabby Cradle, Lime, and Seashells.
Crew supply chain
Section titled “Crew supply chain”Food and drink chains matter because a huge pirate population is useless if service buildings cannot keep up. The current build points to Galley, Tavern, and food processors as early pressure points.
Ship and weapon chain
Section titled “Ship and weapon chain”Ships eventually want more than wood. Rope, Sails, Fittings, Naval Gun, Black Powder, Sabres, and Pistols are all ship or crew power resources. Build these near storage or pier service if possible.
How to debug a stalled chain
Section titled “How to debug a stalled chain”- Open the Resources page and confirm the source building.
- Open that building page and check its related resources.
- Check whether the input is local, raided, or made by another processor.
- Shorten the route before adding another copy of the same building.
- Add more service capacity when the route is short but throughput is still too low.
