The Golden Truth
The fabled Golden City is said to be standing somewhere on this vast island. Many outlandish tales exist about the City, full of unforgiving jungles, merciless tribes, and deadly curses… We endeavour to find the truth.
Event flow
Section titled “Event flow”- We spot a sail on the horizon. A patrol ship flying the Crown’s colours. We should stay out of sight.
- We make a little detour. Curious that the Crown would guard this stretch of coast, though. What are they hiding?
- We drop anchor in a small creek. We’ll reach Puerto Del Oro through the jungle.
- Wasn’t the outpost supposed to be abandoned? We see silhouettes standing in the street. Although… don’t they look a little… stiff?
- Reaching Puerto Del Oro will be harder than expected. We must retreat and plan accordingly.
- The Elder of one of the local tribes is described as the “Talekeeper”. That’s the person we have to meet.
Choices and Outcomes

| Option 2 | We offer them weapons to help their cause. | The lead warrior nods. “This is a good trade — Delgardo has proven to be a most tiresome guest. These weapons will help us keep defending the City. The secrets of King Tlacolotl and the curse his greed brought into the world must remain buried.” |
| Option 3 | We send Audenzia to negotiate on our behalf. | Since Audenzia had dealings with the Hidden Tribe before, we let her handle this. She returns with good news. “Delgardo will be released. He’s not been a model prisoner — a little longer and the tribe would have killed him just to get some peace.” |
| Option 4 | We need time to think about it. | Iguanama is appalled by our offering. “The cursed king Tlacolotl also thought there was a link between blood, gold… and power. His greed knew no bounds. Soon everything had to be covered in gold: first his city… eventually his people too.” |
| Option 5 | We have nothing to offer. | Iguanama smiles. “Then you are already better than the cursed king Tlacolotl, to whom there was nothing more precious than gold. He could never have enough. Soon everything had to be covered in gold: first his city… eventually his people too.” |
