Boarding Damage
Boarding Damage is a ship stat in Corsair Cove.
Effect
Section titled “Effect”Boarding Damage is the close-quarters attack stat. It is used when event choices send pirates aboard or resolve fights by boarding.
Mechanics
Section titled “Mechanics”- Boarding Damage is the close-combat branch.
- Use it when the event text points at boarding, melee, Crew fights, capture, plunder, or pirates going aboard.
- It trades more directly on Crew strength and crew risk than cannon-focused branches.
Rules and formulas
Section titled “Rules and formulas”| Rule | Meaning |

| Core rule | The boarding power of the ship. Depending on actions during Events, this does damage against opponents’ Health or Crew. |
| Damage formula | Boarding Damage contributes to event damage. Event tooltips use forms such as stat plus dice, stat times a multiplier plus dice, or stat divided before dice are applied. |
| Sea Legs | This is a Boarding Damage Sea Legs buff. It temporarily increases your ship’s boarding damage after completing an Event. Further bonuses can be obtained by completing additional Events. Will be removed when the ship docks at its own island. |

| Demoralize | Reduce the Opponent’s Crew to a certain amount to demoralise them. |
| Loot | Loot as much as possible. |
| Raid | Reduce the Opponent’s stat below 50%. |
| Scare | Reduce the Opponent’s stat and stat below 75%. |
