Armour
Armour is a ship stat in Corsair Cove.
Effect
Section titled “Effect”Armour reduces or absorbs danger in event actions, protecting health, crew, or progress through hazardous choices.
Mechanics
Section titled “Mechanics”- Armour is the protection branch.
- Armour matters most before risky branches where the ship must absorb incoming damage or survive the approach.
- Use it for hazards, direct fire, storms, and events where surviving the approach matters more than dealing damage.
Rules and formulas
Section titled “Rules and formulas”| Rule | Meaning |

| Core rule | The protective power of the ship. Depending on actions during Events, armour can protect ship Health or ship Crew, or help overcome a distance. |
| Protection formula | Armour can prevent damage to Health or Crew and can also help clear some distance-style hazards. Prevention choices use armour plus dice or a multiplied/scaled armour value. |
| Sea Legs | This is an Armour Sea Legs buff. It temporarily increases your ship’s armour after completing an Event. Further bonuses can be obtained by completing additional Events. Will be removed when the ship docks at its own island. |

| Endure | Survive at all costs. |
| Shoot | Destroy the enemy with the power of Gun Damage, and sustain the incoming damage via good, thick hull. |
| Traverse | Cross a distance safely or with brute force. Ship Manoeuvrability or Armour are relevant elements. |
